Selected Work

This is on-going senior capstone research project at Brown University. The goal is to build a series of passively pitching wings, and test the impact of hinge stiffness, and wing morphology parameters on pitching behavior and lift generation. Flapping kinematics are predicted using a Quasi-Static Blade Element model.

Full life-cycle automation engineering project where I designed the initial sequence, created machinery and control system specifications, sought out vendors and wrote a cost-optimized Bill-of-Materials.

Design and build of custom intermittent drive where a servo-motor drives the sculpture in continuous rotation, while it's frame "snaps" intermittently.
